Simpsons episode 2.27

In this week's episode, homer is sent to jail and sentenced to 10 years in prison after he is stopped by the police and given a series of tickets. Despite his awful situation, he is offered an opportunity to absolve himself which involved him working as an undercover mole for Fat Tony and his mob under the name "Nicky bluepants". Homer accepts this job and is given task by fat tony in order to gain his trust. One of the scenes involves Tony telling homer to burn down Moe's where he coincidentally finds Moe's bar already in flames. In one of the last scenes of the episode, Fat Tony and Homer find themselves on a dock waiting for weapons. Eventually Homer informs Tony that he is working as a spy giving him a heart attack leading to his death. Homer mourns greatly over his death showing the audience that Homer really did care. As the episode continues, Homer runs into Fat Tony's cousin, Fit Tony. Fit tony spares Homers life after hearing about how much he cared about Fat Tony. Eventually, Fit Tony turns into Fat Tony, and life goes on.

In this episode, One can gain a better understanding of how relationships work. Relationships are built on trust, respect, and love among other important values. Sometimes these values can be faked, sometimes they can be lost, but as Homer learns, the truth can be a devastating thing. Over time scars will heal, and life will go on.
